The Housing Authority of the Township of Weehawken was established in 1984 as
housing for township seniors. The housing authority still maintains the one building holding 99 units
and 105 residents. All residents living in this building must be a senior citizen or disabled.
The Housing Authority is administers 350 Section 8 vouchers to be used in Weehawken.
As part of our mission, we also manage several low-income properties throughout the township that
are not HUD funded.
Although we are one of the smallest housing authorities in New Jersey, we provide our residents
with the highest level of service. Ensuring safe and secure housing is our top priority.
To be recognized as the best small housing authority in the State of New Jersey
